Founded in 2008, Antona Student Properties was the brainchild of Thomas Mairs, a graduate of the
University of Liverpool. Whilst studying at University, he identified a gap in the student market for
higher quality, hassle-free student accommodation.

Starting out with just one house that he rented to his friends, in a short time Antona Student
Properties has gone from strength to strength, establishing itself as one of the largest independently owned student property providers in the region.

At Antona Student Properties we have never lost touch of our roots and we pride ourselves on
consistently reinventing our designs to stay at the forefront of the ever-changing student scene.
Along with the most modern properties in the city, we also offer some of the safest and most secure
accommodation, exceeding mandated requirements wherever possible.

In 2010 Antona Student Properties founder, Thomas Mairs, featured on Channel 4’s “The Secret
Millionaire” and remains the youngest ever philanthropist featured on the programme.

In 2013, Mr Mairs was honoured as an “Exceptional Graduate of the University of Liverpool” during a
ceremony at the Chamber of Commerce in London. His nomination came as a result of his
achievements in raising the quality of student accommodation and increasing the levels of student
welfare in Liverpool.
